Everyone is blogging about this image, so why should I be left out ? This image is a composition of 12 images (each in three colours) taken by Cassini as it passed above Saturn's polar region. The spacecraft was therefore ideally placed for this 'bird's eye' view of the rings. For more information on the images check this
