September meeting reminder

Don't forget that Tuesday, 30th September, is our next meeting. It's our annual 'equipment night' so we are looking for a bit of audience participation with people bringing along telescopes and other astronomical equipment.

You don't have to have equipment to get something out of the evening, it's an ideal opportunity for you to seek advice on buying equipment, or getting the best out of what you have. If you have equipment you'd be willing to bring, great. If not then come along anyway.

We will of course have our usual round up of news, and we'll be looking to plan some winter observing sessions.

September 2014 meeting: "Equipment Night"

After our summer break the next CAS meeting will be on Tuesday 30th September. This month will be our annual "Equipment Night", a chance for people to bring along their telescopes and other equipment to demonstrate to others.

It is also the ideal opportunity to seek advice if you are considering buying new equipment, or trying to get the best out of what you've got. There's always someone willing to help out.

Stargazing Kendal this week.

Stargazing Kendal is already well underway with activities all this week held by The Eddington Astronomical Society. CAS members are more than welcome to attend and help out with observing sessions on Saturday. I hope to see some of you there.
