Don't give up on the comet just yet . .

Apparently Comet McNaught is now so bright it is visible in daylight!

I'm not sure how long it will be (or if we'll get rid of this cloud!) however people were reporting seeing in during the day yesterday.

Check out Spaceweather, Bad Astronomy and The planetary society for details and some amazing pictures.

  1. Well I had a good look today at midday (naked eye, 10x50s and 80mm f5 refractor) as it skimmed along the horizon (according to the ICQ ephemeris) but saw nothing. It will be even lower tomorrow (will it even rise from here?) so that's it. I missed it :-( A pity we did not get today's weather a few days earlier.
