Cassini Images

Not to be out-done by MRO (the new kid on the block) Cassini is still sending some fantastic images of Saturn and it's moons back to Earth. The two pictures below show details in the cloud structure at the 'surface' of Saturn. These atmospheric features and the mechanisms which drive them are still not well understood. Cassini has provided much evidence which is being used to determine what is going on, and in particular why there is a marked difference between the northern and southern hemispheres of Saturn.
